Mauritz Danielsson appointed CEO for UniDig!
Mauritz Danielsson, who has served as Acting CEO since 1 February 2026, has been appointed CEO by the Board. Mauritz will officially take up the position on 1 August 2026. "It is exciting and inspiring to continue building UniDig and to take our joint efforts to the next level.", says Mauritz Danielsson. Mauritz has been the CEO for The Ladok Consortium for the past 11 years.

During the spring, UniDig has continued to develop sector-wide collaboration on digitalisation. Dialogue with higher education institutions, government agencies and suppliers has intensified, and several concrete initiatives have moved forward. Here is an update on current activities and upcoming initiatives.

Continued dialogue with the higher education institutions
We have now met with 15 higher education institutions to discuss UniDig and the needs of the sector. Among other things, the institutions are calling for shared solutions in areas such as AI, security, and digital infrastructure, and see significant value in increased coordination through UniDig. We have met with both large and small institutions, and their needs are relatively consistent. By the end of November, we will visit the remaining 23 higher education institutions.

UniDig’s General Assembly was held in Jönköping on 18 March, where decisions were made on the strategic direction and financial framework for 2027. Since its launch, UniDig has made significant progress, and the work is now growing in both scope and pace. Here, we provide an overview of what is underway and how we are working together to strengthen the sector’s shared capabilities.

We are visiting the Higher Education Insitutions!
We have now begun our visits to higher education institutions to discuss their expectations and ensure that UniDig’s continued work is guided by the institutions’ perspectives. Our first visit was to University West on 5 March, where we discussed the current situation and the future direction of UniDig. We gained valuable insights and input that will play an important role in our continued work.

UniDig’s Executive Office is now in place
UniDig’s Executive Office is now being staffed, and the organisation’s operations are officially underway. The Executive Office is responsible for coordinating the work of the consortium and supporting the Board and higher education institutions in their joint efforts going forward.
